London Fashion Week SS15
Having been a bit preoccupied with the reopening of our boutique, we’ve been tardy with our LFW review. However, better late than never, this season is brimming full of colourful collections courtesy of Shrimps, Molly Goddard and the ever so romantic masterpieces from Simone Rocha. We hope you enjoy!
"Hong Kong, Piña, wiggle, sorrow" said Simone Rocha's press release. Soft romantic mesh lined with beautiful fluff; scalloped wiggle edges on everything. The red flower print oil cloth brought us back to Hong Kong summers in the 70s. Simone Rocha has stunned us once again.
"Fun, fluffy and sweet is how I would describe Shrimps," said Hannah Weiland - creator of the colourful faux fur label Shrimps. If you haven't heard of them, where have you been hiding?! This season is Hannah's first venture at the London Fashion Week. Unbelievably girly and fun, printed silk pajamas teamed up with the label's signature fur trimmed jackets, and of course those wonderful leopard printed coats as a nod to the Flinstones. Can we have everything please?
Tulle tulle tulle! Central Saint Martins BA graduate Molly Goddard threw a prom party at the London Fashion Week. You may have heard about her name from her capsule collection with ASOS last year. We love how Molly styled the collection with band t-shirts, piercings and disposable cameras. The collection was inspired by her own baby clothes, to her teens. Volumes of tulle and taffeta, the ultimate in party wear, are central to the collection.
