Dahlia-Radio! | JAN 13 - Desert Rock
As you know, we're just a TAD excited about the Western Trend for 2013 here at Dahlia HQ. We believe that music influences fashion and vice versa, so we have a special Western inspired post for Dahlia-Radio this month.
We've put together a little playlist of some super cool Western-inspired songs to get your creative juices flowing, but first we'd like to introduce our favourite new band who happen to fit in perfectly with this exciting new trend.
Southern based New Desert Blues may be situated close to the sea but their music is far from Nautical. With a sound that's been described as 'Noir-Americana' (think profound lyrics with a dark, western edge) and hype coming from BBC Introducing and Amazing Radio, it's only a matter of time before they become everyone's favourite underground band. So, you heard it from us first... You can thank us later. Luckily for you local Dahlia girls (and guys!), you can catch them live in London this Friday at The Black Heart in Camden. Other dates include Lennon's in Southampton on January 19th, and The Enterprise in London on Jan 31st. Keep up to date with the band here.

Ahhhh yes, this is definitely my favourite trend for SS13. An embroidered western-esque shirt, cowboy boots & a petticoat is a must-have for any wannabe cowgirl!
