Dahlia Girlfriend | Tori Lynne
Some of you may have noticed that there have been no updates on the Dahlia Girlfriend blog recently. With a new season, comes a new twist… We will be handpicking our favourite bloggers from around the world where they will be interviewed and featured on our website!
The first Girlfriend is Tori Lynne of Generations Collective- the 20-year-old porcelain skinned girl from Portland. Her vintage-inspired outfit photos and amazing film photography sets always leave us inspired and… (well a little jealous of her wardrobe!)
Your name is…
And you’re from…
Portland, Oregon, USA
Tell us a little bit about yourself.
I'm a 20 year old ye-ye wannabe from the pretty Northwest with a penchant for the old and quaint. I've been blogging since 2012 and I also curate my own Etsy shop!
How would you describe your personal style?
I think vintage and feminine sort of sum it up. I like heels and dresses and skirts- I hardly own any pants! I'd like to think of my style as being whimsical and story-telling. I always have a specific girl in mind when I pick out what I want to wear- a sort of back story to every outfit.
Who is your style icon?
Oh so many! I don't think I could pick one particular icon, I more so happen on photos, usually vintage ones, and take bits of inspiration from here and there. I think some of my favorites would have to be Joni Mitchell (she is just so wonderfully effortless) Anna Karina, Patti Boyd, Marianne Faithful, Sylvie Vartan, France Gall. And Twiggy, of course.
If we're going to talk about more modern day fashion, however, I think Elle Fanning's style is usually spot on. I love seeing her wardrobe choices!
What blogs are your daily reads?
Fancy Fine, Hannah and Landon, Katie Louise-Ford are among some of my absolute favorites. I'm always so eager to see what those ladies are posting!
Is there a new season trend you’re particularly excited about?
Recently I find that I'm wanting to incorporate a lot more geometrics into my wardrobe; more structured shapes and prints. Ginghams, plaids, the like. Maybe I'm just getting into the spirit of Autumn but it seems to be all I'm drawn to lately!
My favourite Dahlia piece from the collection is…
The Flora Oversized Shirt Dress! I can think of so many ways I'd want to wear that one!

Sometime last month I was browsing some online shops and ended up finding myself on the lovely world of Dahlia, a London based fashion brand with a whimsical collection of clothing and accessories. Before long I had discovered my latest dream dress- the psychedelic printed Beatnik Pinafore.
If you've been following my little blog at all, you know how obsessed I am with pinafores. And never before have I seen one so inspiring. I want to write in it and travel in it and sing 60's tunes in it. My favorite thing about this one is the gypsy, fortune teller vibes in the print. (Especially the things that look like eyeballs!) It's magical and mysterious and I'm in love with it. A thousand thank you's, Dahlia!
