Jurassic World is finally here!
The cutest Olivia takes us to the world's first dinosaur theme park in Crystal Palace, wearing our Cleo Victoriana dress <3 x
If there's one thing I'm absolutely sure of, it's that it's likely I have the mental age of an 8 year old. When Joe and I decided to head to our (relatively) local Crystal Palace park, the main attraction we were set on scoping out were their infamous dinos, and apparently lots of toddlers and their fully grown humans had a similar idea too (our Saturday afternoon planning wasn't the most tactical, was it?) Having existed since the Victorian era of 1852, these sculptures were the first in the world, so it's pretty impressive to see them still sitting pretty in the depths of South East London. Sometimes it's far too easy to forget what's on your doorstep, isn't it?
After admiring the Iguanodon and Megalosaurus, we headed across to the high street for a brief wander around Crystal Palace, stopping in to a bakery for a pitstop juice and brownie, and a quick peek in some of their beautiful antique furniture shops. Living a bus ride away, it feels a little silly that we don't spend more time exploring our own turf south of the river, so have made it our mission to get to know the area a little better, with a small guide hopefully around the corner too! If any of you have any recommendations for places and hideouts around south London we'd love to hear them!
