I must begin with an apology for the photo quality: appropriate to the title of the 'Ditsy Dress' awarded to the beautiful Dahlia dress I donned today, I drove completely out of my way on a tight schedule to take photos only to discover that I had forgot to charge my DSLR camera battery. Luckily, my Iphone was there so that I could make the trip still worthwhile.

Wearing: Dahlia Leah Ditsy Dress, Topshop Layla Block Heels, Asos Satchel, Asos Hat, Guess Watch, Le Specs Sunglasses, YSL Ring.
With my pale, vampire-esque skin and blonde hair, I usually resist the urge to buy yellow dresses as they wash me out eminently. However, with its bold mustard base colour, adorable blend of tiny floral bouquets and spots and girly drop-waist frills, I could not resist this Dahlia dress. Drawing on the help of Mr. Black, I was able to establish the contrast necessary to prevent the dress washing me out completely without needing to dye my hair brown or bathe my skin in tanning lotion.  So to any blonde ladies out there, also avoiding yellow dresses, don't, just add some black accessories :)

  • Your presentation at PGC was truly meabrmole. What a delight it was to see your photographs, many of which looked like old masters’ paintings. It is obvious that you love and understand your subjects. You also brought back fond memories of my childhood summers on the Jersey shore (Barnegat, Brielle, Point Pleasant, etc.) Thank you for sharing.Hi Ginny, it was great to be on the other coast and be able to touch someone, thanks for the kind words and I look forward to seeing you next year!

  • I’ve always tohguht that all the science characters and the comic store guy have elements of autism. I have an child with autism and know loads of other people on the spectrum, the one thing I so much appreciate is that the show demonstrates how many people it takes to support someone actually on the spectrum. Thank goodness that Penny, as the neurotypical person, models the patience, compassion, and humor necessary for family members and true friends of people with autism. This show is a big hit with our who family, especially the person with autism. We use the show as a teaching model. Today, it was (again) how Sheldon, smart as he is, needs visuals to help him keep track of his math. The whiteboards help Sheldon catch his errors before they become compounded math errors.

  • Aww I miss that flutter felnieg. I had my second on the 13th of feb. Its movement all right I felt both of mine at around 13 weeks. I guess it depends on how in tune to your body you are. Stay as active as you can it helps with the positioning of baby and also makes labour a whole lot quicker. The mama mio range is great and I swear by the boob tube cream. So excited for you. My daughter is now 8 weeks and had the first batch a immunisations, can’t believe how quick time goes. Make the most of it, pregnancy is such a blessing. Much love x

  • You look very dreamy dear. These pireucts have such a nostalgic feel in them that makes me want to go out and explore territories unknown with out having any clear sense of destination. I also love the contrast of the rosy tights with the starkness of the shoes.

  • This is a great tip! I always have such pale skin that yellow is a difficult color to pull off. This looks so lovely on you!

  • You look beautiful! I too, like you are pale blonde and pale skinned (an english rose…aherm) for that reason i always steer clear of yellow and mustard tones as i look a trifle ill! I love the idea of toughening it with black though, and it some how distracts from quite so much yellow.

    Fab xxxx
