A rose by any other name.
Hello sunshine! Yesterday I spent my day making a somewhat long-winded journey from Bath to Cornwall, but it was all worth it in the end as the weather today is beautiful! After helping clean our family-run holiday lets this morning, I found myself rummaging through my suitcase for SPF and sunglasses. We had breakfast and lunch out in the garden, and we're having a barbecue for dinner - perfect! We've toyed with the idea of going to the beach, but after our hard work this morning we've opted for a lazy day at home.
It's finally sunny enough to wear my new Dahlia rose jacquard dress, so I paired it with retro sunnies, glittery socks, sweet black shoes and tousled hair. I swapped my standard red lip for a peachier shade, and even braved a little pink eyeshadow - fairly experimental, by my standards at least! There's very little variation in my make up; as long as I'm allowed my concealer, blush, and defined brows, I'm happy.
Six years ago, when I first started playing around with red hair dye, I never would have dreamed of wearing pinks and peaches. I was absolutely certain that the colours would clash, and I'd end up looking ridiculous. This dress is proof that that was complete nonsense. The rosy print brings out the pink-y accents in my hair, making it one of my favourite colours to wear.
